Rodion Raskolnikov is a former student living in a rented room and pawning everything he has left for a little money.  Rodion doesn’t want help from anyone so he decides to rob the pawn broker.  After he shows up to rob and murder Ivanovna he almost gets caught.  Once he sneaks out of the apartment he escapes leaving no evidence.  Rodion takes ill. Most of the problem besides fever is he knows what he has done and hasn’t told anyone so it is eating him up inside.

Since this book was written in the 1860’s some of the terms used are different than today.  This book gives lots of details and inner thinkings of the character.  As an audiobook this was an enjoyable listen.
