The Girl On the Train

Girl on the train

Format: Audiobook

Source: Public Library

Rating: 3

Rachel is an alcoholic.  He husband left her for a younger woman and she is unable to cope.  Due to her alcoholism, she was fired from her job but still take the train into London every day just to ride pass her Ex-husband’s house.   She notices a couple that lives up the street from her ex.  Rachel often fantasizes about their perfect relationship that she sees from the train.  But when Megan goes missing, Rachel tries to help since she has witnessed things from the train.

This book is written from 3 perspectives.  Rachel, Anna, and Megan.  All three women at crazy.  Rachel is a depressed drunk who can’t get her life together,  Anna is Rachel’s Ex-husbands new wife who will do anything to protect her perfect family, and Megan is the artist who often visits a shrink because of all the stuff in her head.

The book is pretty predictable and by the end I was slightly tired of the crazy inner monologues.
